The Festival of Media and MIPTV have partnered to offer a special package for delegates wishing to attend both events. 
The closing date for project submissions in Durban's inaugural FilmMart, jointly hosted by the Durban Film Office (DFO) and Durban International Film Festival (DIFF), has been extended to 29 March 2010. The filmmart will take place during the 31st Durban International Film Festival which runs from 22 July to 1 August this year. 
Design Indaba 2010 encouraged students with awards and exposure to enter the world of design. A showing of a short film and the exposition of the top 10 student designs ensured this South African talent met the world. 
PARIS: MIPDOC, the international showcase for documentary screenings, has named the five producers to receive recognition at the International Trailblazer Awards at MIPDOC 2010, including the DRC's Djo Tunda Wa Munga. The event runs from 10 - 11 April 2010 at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, ahead of MIPTV. 
BARCELONA/LONDON: South Africa's Emma Kaye was re-elected onto the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) board at the general meeting held during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. She remains the only African representing the continent on the board. 
LUSAKA: eLearning Africa has launched an online photography competition inviting people from Africa to submit images that show how they live, learn and work with information and communication technologies (ICTs).
